Lauren Kaelin is an artist and illustrator who lives in Brooklyn with her wife and new son. Her paintings have been exhibited at Fowler Art Space, Kunstverein Wolfsburg, and Chemeketa Community College. Her work has been featured on Anderson Cooper Live and discussed in Artinfo, Gizmodo, and TIME. She is the creator of Benjameme: A Work of Art in the Age of the Internet and co-founder of viral website When Parents Text. Her books include Ample Hills Creamery: Secrets and Stories from Brooklyn's Favorite Ice Cream Shop and When Parents Text: So Much Said... So Little Understood. The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds.
