Lauren Marker is a therapist, harm reductionist, writer, clinical supervisor, facilitator, and four-time Writing Our Lives Workshop alum. Having spent a dozen years in the field of mental health and substance use treatment, she is consistently honored and humbled to bear witness to her clients’ stories. Inspired, she decided to get honest about some of her own. Originally from the Deep South, she now lives in Brooklyn. This is her first publication.
