Russell Rowland has an MA in Creative Writing from Boston University, and is the author of three acclaimed novels. In Open Spaces (HarperCollins 2002) received a starred review from Publisher's Weekly, made the San Francisco Chronicle's bestseller list, and was selected among the Best of the West by the Salt Lake City Tribune. The Watershed Years (Riverbend 2007) was a finalist for the High Plains Book Award. His most recent novel, High and Inside, was released in June 2013. The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds.
