Samantha Edmonds is the author of the fiction chapbook Pretty to Think So (Selcouth Station Press, forthcoming 2019). Her fiction and nonfiction appear in Mississippi Review, Literary Hub, Black Warrior Review, Pleiades, The Pinch, and McSweeney's Internet Tendency, among others. She serves as the fiction editor for Grist: A Journal of the Literary Arts and the Community Outreach Director for Sundress Academy for the Arts. She currently lives in Knoxville, where she is an MFA candidate at the University of Tennessee.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
