Shamala Gallagher is an essayist and poet living in Athens, GA. Her work has appeared in Black Warrior Review, The Missouri Review, Copper Nickel, West Branch, The Offing, and elsewhere. She is a Kundiman fellow, a graduate of the Michener Center for Writers, and the author of a poetry chapbook, I Learned the Language of Barbs and Sparks No One Spoke (dancing girl press, 2015).
