Sophia Moskalenko is a psychologist and ​an author of The Marvel of Martyrdom: the Power of Self-sacrifice in a Selfish World and the ​award-winning Friction: How Conflict Radicalizes Them and Us. Her debut novel, The Bird and the Beggar, will be released in 2019. She lives in suburban Philadelphia with her three children, a cat, ​and a dog.
