Sophie Amado holds a BA in English and Spanish from the University of Iowa and, more recently, an MFA in Creative Nonfiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago. In 2014, she received a Fulbright grant to teach English to high school students in Madrid. Sophie’s work has appeared in Gravel Magazine, Ponder Review, and The Daily Palette. She works as a copywriter in Chicago, hosts an open-mic reading series, and writes personal essays.
