Timi Sanni is a writer, editor, and multidisciplinary artist from Lagos, Nigeria. His chapbook, The Ordinary Affair of Being Human (Akashic Books, 2025) was selected as part of the African Poetry Book Fund New-Generation African Poets box set. He has won the Anita McAndrews Award Poetry Contest, the Sprinng Poetry Contest, the Kreative Diadem Writing Contest, and the Stephen A. DiBiase Poetry Prize. His work has appeared in Black Warrior Review, New Delta Review, Cincinnati Review, Poet Lore, ONLY POEMS, and elsewhere.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
