Zhanna Slor was born in the former Soviet Union and raised in various Milwaukee suburbs. Currently, she lives with her husband in Chicago, where she is finishing up a young adult novel about Ukrainian-born twins with unusual superpowers. She has been published in numerous literary magazines, including Tusculum Review, Bellevue Literary Review, Sonora Review, and three times in Michigan Quarterly Review, one of which was listed as a notable mention in Best American Essays 2014.
