Robert Tumas is a writer who lives in Crown Heights with his gorgeous wife and their two dogs. His work has appeared in The Daily Orange, The L Magazine, Mother Nature Network, The Faster Times, Slant Magazine and Working Class Magazine. His fiction has appeared in Stretch Magazine. He is currently working on his masters degree in Literature at Brooklyn College. Robert believes that everyone in New York should ride a bicycle and all the paved streets should be torn up and seeded with grass.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
