I saw this piece on the corner of 19th and Valencia (in San Francisco). The technique used to create it looks pretty insane. The figure is obviously cut out of some heavy paper, but the colors on top seem to be created by dripping wax or possibly oil on top. It’s very textural (as seen below). Evenly spreading the colors like this must be a nightmare, but I think the artist may have used a stenciling technique to create more distinct shapes. Very cool.
