wave-manA person named simply “Will” curates a blog devoted exclusively to the spectacular cover art and reprinted manuscripts of books that have fallen from memory. The site, A Journey Round My Skull, is described as “unhealthy book fetishism from a reader, collector, and amateur historian of forgotten literature.” Features are categorized by author, illustrator, genre, etc. One of my favorites is the Ophidian Extravaganza, Parts 1 and 2, with incredible drawings and writing about snakes and serpents.

Julie Greicius was Art Editor for The Rumpus when it launched in January 2009. One year later, she became Senior Literary Editor, and later, Senior Features Editor. Julie also co-edited the first book published by The Rumpus, Rumpus Women, Vol. 1, featuring personal essays and illustration from twenty kick-ass contributors. Her writing been featured on The Rumpus, Midnight Breakfast, Stanford Medicine Magazine, and BuzzFeed, as well as in the anthology The 27th Mile.
