The winners from this year’s Sony World Photography Awards have been announced, and thanks to this digital age we live in can be viewed without having to fly to France (or put your pants on for that matter). The winners (presented by the World Photographic Academy) cover a broad swath, ranging from bollywood photojournalism, surreal underwater advertising, and hard hitting war photography. Not to mention a whole array of amateur photographers. Personal favorite: Lisa Maree Williams’ winning gallery of wounded and infant Australian wildlife, which beat out the considerably less bloody infant Australian wildlife photography of Steve Morenos. The actual awards will be given out Aprile 14th-19th in Cannes.
