A little while ago, I got sick of hearing that my generation—which for some God awful reason is called Generation Y—was spoiled, lazy and stupid, all while we were fighting wars (one of which, I seem to remember, we were lied to about) and getting laid off in record numbers. So I and some other editors decided to start a web site called The Splinter Generation, a place where we could tell our own story through writing.
The Rumpus said I could plug it here because The Rumpus is really nice, so here I am, telling you that we have a new call for submissions. If you were born between 1973 and 1993, send us your work!
If you want to see more, check out some of the stuff from last year’s compilation, including an interview with Iraq War veteran Lance Corporal Jason Poole, poems by Saeed Jones, a hilarious short story by Emma Komlos-Hrobsy, and lots of other great stuff.
