And a few surprises, like the objection to Black Hawk Down in Raceland, Louisiana, where you might imagine that Mark Bowden’s politically nuetral military potboiler would go down well. Among my favorite ironies: Curtis Sittenfeld’s Prep was pulled from a Prep school right here in SoCal.
