MC Lars

Post-punk laptop rap star MC Lars has been described as “the laptop MC who’s ‘Straight Outta Stanford’” by Kurt Loder, and has tracks like “Rapbeth” and “Hey There Ophelia” that reference Shakespeare (not to mention “Ahab” and “Mr. Raven,” which play off of Moby Dick and Edgar Allan Poe respectively).

The popular Bay Area rapper will be playing at the Monthly Rumpus in San Francisco this Monday (January 11th) and tickets are only $10.
