I spend my time on the ocean or walking in its sands. I’ve seen some really beautiful pieces of art made from driftwood and plastic bottles, wash-out lines drawn in ever-flowing sand, pieces of oceana. But never have I seen art meant to move on the winds, art that is engineered, art that is alive. Dutch kinetic sculptor Theo Jansen [organically] blends art and engineering into a piece of fiction made reality. You may have seen the Youtube video put out by BMW’s campaign to support functional art, but that doesn’t take away from how incredible this is.
This is Beach Art. This is Life. This is Living Beach Art.
