Animated by Kluge-Masnik, design by Hana Stepanova, music by J. Malasek and J. Bazant, camera by Vl. Malik, directed by Josef Kluge
Florentina, which comes from my personal collection of Czech kids’ books, is a translation of a story by the German writer James Kruss. I can’t find any information on Hana Stepanova, but I know she illustrated a handful of books in the 60s, designed the above animation, and I’m guessing she was married to Bohumil Stepan.
If you are a fan of weird synthy modern classical (and who isn’t?), do not miss the soundtrack to the cartoon!
