Really, We Just Wanted to Say “Federal Copy Editors”

New York City’s street sign are getting a makeover:

“Federal copy editors are demanding the city change its 250,900 street signs — such as these for Perry Avenue in The Bronx — from the all-caps style used for more than a century to ones that capitalize only the first letters.”

Wait. “Federal copy editors”? Seriously?

  1. This is the point where I go “Waaaaaait a minute, you mean there’s a job for what I do that has FEDERAL HEALTH BENEFITS?” I die.

  2. All these years, I thought that freelancing was the way to untold riches for former English majors. Ah, crud, I’m in too deep to change direction now.

    The other think I simply loved about that article was the use of the word “demanding.” I couldn’t help myself, I just had to vent.
