Wednesday 10/20: Get your 80’s rock on at The Blue Macaw for the Yacht Rock Fantasy Party and Sci Fi Psychedelic Sex Rock Show. The title pretty much explains it all. Plus, show up in Regatta regalia for half price cover. $5-$10, 21+, 9pm @ 2565 Mission Street.
Thursday 10/21: CELLspace celebrates the opening of Ria Dastidar’s saccharine Uberpup: Because Your Parents Never Bought You That Pony. 6-12pm @ 2050 Bryant Street.
Friday 10/22: The 2010 Film + Video Festival takes over the Mission’s Artists’ Television Access. Eight independent films play at 7:30pm. $7-10 @ 992 Valencia Street.
Saturday 10/23: The Barber Lounge’s annual Fall Art Opening draws a crowd of over 400. This year’s features art by Ian Ross, Micah Crandall-Bear, Hilary Williams, Joseph Lambert, Vivian Chen, Tobias Tovera, David Childress, Taylor Wessling, John Kraft, Felipe Rodriguez, Lynne Anderson, Vee Caragay, Elizabeth Williams, Dan Tran, and Crystal Rainwater. 7-10pm @ 854 Folsom Street.
Sunday 10/24: The 28th San Francisco Jazz Festival is in full swing and runs through November. Tonight, see Bay Area piantist-composer Jon Jang at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. $30-50, 3pm @ 50 Oak Street.
