Lately I’ve been wanting to watch more documentaries about writers. Any suggestions?
In the meantime, thanks to Galley Cat, I found this documentary about H.P. Lovecraft which is worth ninety minutes of your time.

2 in my netflix queue that I haven’t watched yet
“Chris & Don: A Love Story” about Christopher Isherwood and his partner
“Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters” about Yukio Mishima with music by Philip Glass
There’s a documentary about James Baldwin entitled “The Price of the Ticket,” but I haven’t seen it.
I would highly recommend the National Film Board of Canada’s documentary “Volcano: An Inquiry into the Life and Death of Malcolm Lowry”. It’s available on the Criterion Collection edition of “Under the Volcano” or online-
