Monday 1/24: This month at Cat’s Pajamas, get your regular dose of burlesque with a side of clown as Dottie Lux co-hosts the monthly show of music and steamy performances. $5, 21+, 8pm @ 3225 22nd Street.
Tuesday 1/25: Head to Space Gallery for readings about food from LitUp. Delectable Delights: Tales of Food and Disaster is a collection of first-person essays about our love/hate relationships with the things we shove in our mouths. Free, 7-9:30pm @ 1141 Polk Street.
Wednesday 1/26: More than just a “firefly class” spaceship on Joss Whedon’s spectacular space western, Serenity is the theme of the UCSF Women’s Health Center Spring Art Show. The rotating exhibit covers five floors and is the Bay Area’s largest ongoing exhibit of wall hanging art. The artist’s reception takes place from 5:30-7:30pm @ 2356 Sutter Street.
Thursday 1/27: Get to Dog Eared Books for Pank Magazine’s reading with pieces by Lauren Becker, Seth Fischer, Ben Jahn, Ethel Rohan, and M. Bartley Seigel. 7-8:30pm @ 900 Valencia Street.
