Let me be clear–the issue of whether or not his work was pirated is clear. It unquestionably was. The thing that’s not so clear is whether or not it’s harmful to him or his publisher. The piece is interesting in the way the professor talks his way through the process, including his conversation with the lawyers who represent his press and his feelings of ambivalence once he fires his first return shot against the pirates.
