INCEPTION
★★★★★ (3 out of 5)
Hello, and welcome to my week-by-week review of everything in the world. Today I am reviewing Inception.
I recently saw the movie Inception starring Leonardo DiCaprio and it is a very confusing movie. Leonardo leads a team of criminals who shrink down into other people’s brains and have adventures that are fun yet dangerous. It’s kind of like Innerspace with Martin Short but much more serious.
The insides of the brains look just like real life, not all pink and gooey like I would have expected. There are buildings instead of neurons and mountains instead of grey matter. It’s pretty unrealistic, but I suppose it was cheaper to film.
The technology to shrink down into people’s brains does not yet exist but given the rate at which science is advancing I think it’s only a matter of time. When that day comes, I hope no one goes into my brain because I have some secrets I don’t want anyone to know about. Only Rosie knew them and she took them with her to her grave.
There were so many things left unanswered about this film. One of the mysteries of Inception is this magic coin that never stops spinning. I’m not sure what that’s all about. I think it’s a commentary on the economy or something. My hope is that Inception is like Lord of the Rings, where the story isn’t complete until I’ve seen the second and third installments. Only then will I understand what it was all about.
Overall it was a fun movie but the music was a little repetitive.
Please join me next week when I’ll be reviewing Voltron.
