Heather Donahue Interview

By

Michelle Dean interviews actress-turned-pot grower Heather Donahue about her book, Growgirl. Donahue discusses “tit whiskers,” “pot-wives,” career changes, and more.

“I understand that it’s a privilege to change a life. But I also understand that what really changed my life was my decision to write every day, which cost nothing. My decision to meditate, even if only for 15 minutes. Those two things have a bigger daily effect on my day than anything I’ve ever bought or rented. They were the seeds of the bigger, more systemic changes. And really, anyone can do either of those things. A little silence goes a long way. And laughing.”
