Last Saturday, after I posted the Gone Girl essay that turned into another gender-in-literature rant, I thought to myself, “Self, let’s find a new subject, surely your readers are getting bored. You are getting bored.” But then the Jonah Lehrer thing happened and I found myself piqued enough to write a little something for Salon. Partially because of the headline people think I think that men are all like Lehrer, or something, which would be an absurd thing to write if it was indeed what I wrote. But, oh well, sometimes you don’t get the kind of reading you hope for and it’s probably all your own fault.
Anyway, thought I’d link to it for you while I pound out something much longer.
