Atavist, a media and software company responsible for some truly stunning longform nonfiction pieces, is branching out.

March 2014 will mark the launch of Atavist Books, and their first title will be Sleep Donation, a novella by Rumpus interviewee and MacArthur “Genius Grant” recipient Karen Russell, available in digital form only.

Sleep Donation is about a woman whose sister has died in an insomnia epidemic, causing her to join an organization which helps people donate sleep to those without it. In Russell’s hands, you know that’s going to be a dream of a book.
