Chipotle is getting into the publishing business. Vanity Fair reports that the burrito chain’s cups and bags will feature very short stories from authors like Jonathan Safran Foer, Toni Morrison, George Saunders, and others. Shortly after the announcement, Slate published Cormac McCarthy’s “rejected” story.

Shortly after the ballyhooed rollout of Chipotle’s “literary packaging series,” many people began to notice that the so called “Mexican grill” had neglected to include even one Mexican American author among the ten featured. Of course, some people did not notice this, not even when they were eating their burritos. Jsut sayin’.
