Pitchfork.tv is premiering its documentary of the making of Slowdive’s 1993 album Souvlaki today on the “Pitchfork Classics” series. The documentary traces the making of Slowdive’s second album through interviews of all band members, Alan McGee from Creation Records, and the album’s producer, Chris Hufford, and engineer, Ed Buller. Rumors circulated late last year about a new album in the works from the iconic shoegaze band, who is touring steadily through the summer. Check out the documentary trailer after the jump, and read about the history of Slowdive’s incredible-but-overlooked third album on the Creation Records website.
