Rose McGowan the Pop Star

Dissatisfied with the sexism of Hollywood, the scream queen has been thinking about a pop career for some time now. Rolling Stone quotes McGowan on the motivation for her switch in creative milieu:

I woke up one day and realized I hated acting and that I’d always hated it. Imagine, it’s predominantly men whose scripts get done so it was mostly a male voice coming out of my mouth for fifteen years.

McGowan’s new video seems to be designed as a move against that feeling. For the video for her song “RM486,” which debuted this week on Nowness, the actor announced that she enlisted director Jonas Åkerlund to explore a visual portrayal of her person in its many dimensions. Watch it after the jump.
