Even if you don’t know the names Peter Fischli and David Weiss, you’ve probably seen some of their work. Their short film “The Way Things Go,” in which everyday objects collide with each other in an apparently seamless chain reaction, is considered “the Citizen Kane of do-it-yourself cinema,” according to the New Yorker. That film, along with their other films and works in various media, is currently on display on the Guggenheim Museum’s central ramp.
