Wednesday 8/17: At the Writer’s on Writing series, presented by Valley Bookseller, you can hear Kao Kalia Yang read and discuss her new book, The Song Poet (Metropolitan Books). Yang’s father was a Hmong song-poet, and her newest memoir chronicles his life, her relationship to his work, and the Yang family’s escape from war and refugee camps.
