Sunday 8/14: Celebrate the release of All We Can Hold (Sage Hill Press), an anthology of poems about motherhood. This evening reading at Magers and Quinn will include short performances by Tyler Davis, Kristin Laurel, Freya Manfred, Eva Olsgard, Margaret Rozga, Paula Schulz, Molly Sutton Kiefer, and Marianne Taylor. 7 p.m., free.

Tuesday 8/16: Roberta Brown reads from her new memoir, The Shoulding: A Story of Resilience and Hope, at Magers and Quinn. 7 p.m., free.

Wednesday 8/17: At the Writer’s on Writing series, presented by Valley Bookseller, you can hear Kao Kalia Yang read and discuss her new book, The Song Poet (Metropolitan Books). Yang’s father was a Hmong song-poet, and her newest memoir chronicles his life, her relationship to his work, and the Yang family’s escape from war and refugee camps. Dock Street Cafe in Stillwater. 4:30 p.m., free.

Friday 8/19: Tiffany Antone performs her play, Twigs and Bone, at the Swandive Theatre. Pre-reading social hour at 6 p.m., readings at 6:30. Free.
