Tuesday 11/15: In memory of the poet and community-builder Tom McGrath, this month’s Carol Connolly reading series features Mark Vinz, Freya Manfred, Mike Hazard, Jim Lenfestey, Patricia Kirkpatrick, J.P. White, Richard Robbins, and Dale Jacobson. McGrath died in 1990, and this event marks what would be his 100th birthday. A special memorial broadside of McGrath’s poetry will be for sale. Wednesday 11/ 16: At the Somali Museum of Minnesota, student authors of “Green Card Youth Voices: Immigration Stories from a Minneapolis High School” will give a reading and Q&A. 7 p.m., free.
Thursday 11/17: Head to uptown for a triple-header of YA authors. Kirstin Cronn-Mills, Erik Johnson, and Geoff Herbach will read from their newest works at Magers and Quinn, 7 p.m., free.
Friday 11/18: The Poken Sword Literary Salon convenes again for a night of readings by Ted King, Kathleen Sullivan, and David Shove. A musical performance by Farmer Farmer will precede the reading. A SPACE, 6:30 p.m., free.
