This Week in Posivibes: Tis the Season

By

It’s getting to be year-in-review season, the time when everyone sits back and catalogs the songs that blew their minds, the album art that inspired the most memes, the top five tracks that clearly violated copyright, the ten best songs for driving down the highway in a little rain, but not a lot, like maybe it’s just misty?

Most of these lists are pointless, unless you really trust the person compiling them. Here are two of our favorites: from Aquarium Drunkard, a comprehensive collection of incredible albums including new releases and reissues across genres, and from Still Single, a bit more of a genre-loyal list but one that is a great primer for things you might have missed.

And, although it’s not an end-of-year round-up, Tony Molina spoke to Raven Sings the Blues about the record that helped him frame his softer sound: Judee Sill’s 1971 debut.
