Wednesday 8/15: Wooden Shoe Books presents the launch of Conserve and Control, a new story following up Otter Lieffe’s debut novel Margins and Murmurations. The author will be reading from both novels and signing books. 7 p.m. at Wooden Shoe Books and Records.

Celebrate the release of Daniel DiFranco’s debut novel Panic Years at its release party. 7 p.m. at Lucky’s Last Chance – Manayunk.

Saturday 8/18: The Spiral Bookcase will host “A Witch’s Craft: An Evening of Spellbinding Poetry” featuring readings by Brittany Brown, Angelo Colavita, Victoria Mier, Lisa Marie Basile Jenn McCreary, Cody Roggio, Rebecca Kokitus, and Kailey Tedesco. 6:30 p.m. at The Spiral Bookcase. 

Sunday 8/19: Philly’s new literary arts organization Blue Stoop will host their monthly happy hour at Win Win Coffee Bar. Come stay informed of their ongoing project to open a physical literary culture center in Philadelphia. 5 p.m. at Win Win Coffee Bar.

Head to the Pen & Pencil Club on Sunday for readings by Brooke and Anthony Palma, James Feichthaler, Savannah Cooper-Ramsey, and Robert Zell. Open mic to follow. 8 p.m. at Pen & Pencil Club.

Monday 8/20: The Dead Bards of Philadelphia will host a reading and open mic featuring Brandon Blake and Leah Jackson (AKA Lyric). Bring your best work! 8 p.m. at Venice Island Performing Arts Recreation Center.
