Attorney General William Barr missed the deadline set by Congress to release the full Mueller report, defying the legislative branch of government. Not only is this a serious threat to the rule of law, but it also suggests Barr may be staging a cover-up of damning evidence in the report to protect Donald Trump
Despite Trump’s claims that the Mueller report exonerates him, nobody outside of the Justice Department has been allowed to see the report. Agents who worked on the report say Barr’s summary has intentionally left out key information. The only way to know the report says is if we are allowed to read it.
MoveOn.org is calling for protests today against attempts to coverup the Mueller report’s findings and demand the report be released. These protests are similar to a previous call to action to allow Mueller to finish the report.

The importance of releasing the Special Counsel’s report cannot be overstated. The Republic depends on rule of law. The executive branch cannot defy Congress. The president cannot hire henchmen to coverup up his crimes. The Mueller report is hundreds of pages long. Remember, Trump aide Paul Manafort has already been tried and convicted on eight counts, and Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen has pled guilty. Crimes have been committed and confessed to.
Protests begin between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. local time. This is not the first such protest, and it won’t be the last.
