Monday 9/9: Bassey Ipki presents her essay collection I’m Telling the Truth, But I’m Lying in conversation with Ana Marie Cox. Magers & Quinn Booksellers, 7 p.m., free.

Celebrate the release of Margaret Atwood’s sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale, The Testaments, with refreshments, costumes, and speakers from the Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault. Next Chapter Booksellers, 10:30 p.m. (books released at midnight), free.

Tuesday 9/10: Joshilyn Jackson, Kassandra Montag, Katherine Reay, and Faith Sullivan read from their newest books at Literature Lovers’ Night Out. Trinity Episcopal Church, 7 p.m., $20 (includes book coupon).

Wednesday 9/11: September’s Poets & Pints features Jessica Winnie, Thomas Gorton, Terri Ford, and Esther Marcella. Sisyphus Brewing, 7 p.m., free.

Thursday 9/12: Poet Harryette Mullen will read from her work, followed by a conversation with poet and librettist Douglas Kearney. Loft Literary Center, 7 p.m., $10 ($5 for members).

Friday 9/13: Susan Steinberg reads from her debut novel Machine in conversation with Steve Woodward. SubText Books, 7 p.m., free.

Saturday 9/14: Poets Steve Healey and Daniel Borzutzky will read at the release party for Healey’s newest collection, Safe Houses I Have Known. Hook & Ladder Theater, 7 p.m., free.
