Friday 11/29: Tom Brokaw will be discussing (and signing) his new book, The Fall of Richard Nixon: A Reporter Remembers Watergate. Book Passage Ferry Building in San Francisco at 4 p.m.
Head over to Berkeley for a screening of the silent film, Shiraz: A Romance of India. The newly restored film features a new score by sitarist and composer Anoushka Shankar. BAMPFA in Berkeley at 4 p.m. ($5–$13, tickets required).

Monday 12/2: Alice Sola Kim will be reading “Now Wait for This Week” (published in New York Magazine’s “The Cut”) as part of the Word for Word reading series. Z Space in San Francisco at 7 p.m. (free, reservation required).
Tuesday 12/3: Mimi Lok will be reading from her debut novella and short story collection, Last of Her Name. She will be joined in conversation by Dave Eggers (The Parade). Green Apple Books on the Park in San Francisco at 7:30 p.m.
It’s an annual tradition! Thomas Lynch will be reading Truman Capote’s “A Christmas Memory.” Mrs. Dalloway’s Bookstore in Berkeley at 7:30 p.m.
