Susan Muaddi Darraj won an American Book Award for her short story collection, A Curious Land: Stories from Home, which also earned an Arab American Book Award and the AWP Grace Paley Prize. In 2018, she was named a 2018 Ford Fellow by USA Artists. She created the viral #TweetYourThobe social media campaign to promote Palestinian culture in 2019.
