Ani Kokobobo is an Assistant Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Kansas where she teaches Russian literature and culture. My academic articles on nineteenth-century Russian literature and culture have appeared in Tolstoy Studies Journal, Slavic Review, Russian Review, and several collections. My op-eds and shorter pieces have appeared in TheConversation.com, New Republic, Salon.com, and Los Angeles Review of Books.
