Brian Truong is a Vietnamese-American writer, who has received fellowships and support from Yaddo, Ucross, Millay Arts, Periplus Collective, Tin House Summer Workshop, and the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference. He won the 2023 Georgia Review Prose Prize, and his work is published and forthcoming in Ecotone, Gulf Coast, The Rumpus, and The Chicago Review of Books. He is currently at work on a memoir and an essay collection. He is @trubrian on Twitter/X and Instagram, and his website is truongbrian.com.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
