Chisaraokwu Asomugha, MD (.CHISARAOKWU.) is an Igbo American transdisciplinary poet artist and a 2025 National Endowment for the Arts Fellow in Poetry. Her practice weaves together archive, collage, film, and her experiences as a physician to explore memory and identity in the African diaspora. She has received additional fellowship support from Cave Canem, The Black Genius Foundation, Torch Literary Arts, Vermont Studio Center, and Art Center Padula (Italy). Her recent work appears in ANMLY, Beloit Poetry Journal, Indiana Review, and Michigan Quarterly Review. An alum of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Program at Yale University, she earned her MD from Duke University, and BA from Stanford University. Her website is
