David Thacker grew up in northern Utah and has taught writing and literature at Florida State University, The University of Idaho, and The Port Townsend Writers’ Conference. A recipient of the Fredrick Manfred Award from the Western Literature Association and a finalist for the Berkshire and Levis Prizes, his poems have appeared in Best New Poets 2015, Ploughshares, Plume, Subtropics, The Colorado Review, Lit Hub, and elsewhere. He is Business and Promotions Manager at The Southeast Review and a PhD candidate in poetry at Florida State University. He lives with his wife and their daughters in Tallahassee.
