FLOYD SKLOOT is a three-time Pushcart Prize winner and the author of 20 books, including In the Shadow of Memory (U. of Nebraska Press) which won the PEN USA Literary Award in creative nonfiction, the poetry collections Approaching Winter, The Snow's Music and The End of Dreams (LSU Press, 2015, 2008, 2006) and the new novel The Phantom of Thomas Hardy (University of Wisconsin Press).

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
