Gabriela Denise Frank’s writing appears in Works (of Fiction) in Progress Journal, ARCADE and Bird's Thumb. She is the author of "CivitaVeritas: an Italian Fellowship Journey," a collection of essays about the unique Italian hill town of Civita di Bagnoregio. Her latest project is UGLY ME, a multi-media installation at the Jack Straw Cultural Center that explores the interplay between appearance and self-worth through distorted selfies, spoken prose and large-scale typographic collage. She lives and writes in Seattle.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
