Janet Rodriguez

Janet Rodriguez is a writer, teacher, and editor living in Northern California. She is the author of the memoir, Making an American Family, A Recipe in Five Generations (Prickly Pear Publishing, 2022) and has been featured in the recent regional anthology, Sacramento Noir, edited by John Freeman (Akashic Books, 2025). Her work has appeared in Eclectica, Pangyrus, and Hobart, among others. She holds an MFA in Creative writing from Antioch University, Los Angeles, and hosts the monthly program #SmallPressSunday for The Rumpus on Instagram Live.
