Jessica Lind Peterson is a Minnesota-based essayist and playwright. Her essays have appeared in Orion, Seneca Review, Alaska Quarterly Review, River Teeth, Passages North, and elsewhere. Her book Sound Like Trapped Thunder won the 2020 Deborah Tall Lyric Essay Book Prize and is forthcoming from Seneca Review Books (now available for pre-order). She is the co-founder of Yellow Tree Theatre in Osseo, Minnesota and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Hamline University in St. Paul. She lives with her family in Canyon, Minnesota in a trailer that is painted green.
