Kathryn Walkiewicz (Cherokee Nation) is an assistant professor of nineteenth-century American literature and culture at UC San Diego. Her work has appeared in numerous scholarly journals, including NAIS: Journal of the Native American and Indigenous Studies Association, J19: Journal of Nineteenth-Century Americanists, and Walt Whitman Quarterly. She co-edited The People Who Stayed: Southeastern Indian Writing after Removal with Geary Hobson and Janet McAdams (University of Oklahoma Press, 2010).
