Kevin Rippin is the author of the 2018 poetry collection Amber Drive. He earned an MA in writing from the University of Pittsburgh. He has worked as a corporate editor and writer, and currently teaches writing as a full-time lecturer at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, NC. He has published articles, reviews, and poetry in magazines and journals across the country, including Southern Poetry Review, Poetry East, and Pittsburgh Quarterly. His chapbook, One Shuddering Tremolo, was previously published by Arbuckle Press.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
